The culprit, more often than not, is not the cloud itself. It is the legacy system integration work that nobody fully priced before the contract was signed.

The enterprises that have struggled most visibly with cloud migration ROI are not, by and large, those that made the wrong strategic decision. They are those that made the right strategic decision with an incomplete financial picture. Closing that gap is where enterprise technology leadership earns its value.

Migration is not the destination. Sustainable, integrated, cost-predictable cloud operations are. Getting there requires an honest accounting of what the journey actually costs.
